PUNTUALIDAD/PUNCTUALITY

Estimados Profesores y  alumnos: Como primer valor a revisar en nuestro programa de  Colegio será la puntualidad.

¿Qué significa ser puntuales?.

Objetivo: asumir que la puntualidad es un  valor que se construye por el esfuerzo de estar a tiempo en el lugar adecuado. Tiempo: una sesión de Orientación.

·      El valor de la puntualidad es la buena educación.

·      La puntualidad es una virtud que cada vez menos personas ponen en práctica. Se puede afirmar que la puntualidad se ha devaluado. Incluso, se mitifica y se crean leyendas urbanas sobre lo 'chic' o elegante que es llegar tarde a un lugar. ¡Qué pena! Hacer de la impuntualidad una virtud. ¡Qué gran error!

·      La puntualidad es una manera de respetar a los demás. Si hay algo valioso en el mundo es el tiempo, y ser rigurosamente puntuales ayuda al desarrollo correcto  de los acontecimientos diarios. Como dice un popular y sabio consejo: "Rico no es el que tiene dinero, sino el que tiene tiempo". El tiempo no se recupera, el dinero si puede recuperarse. Hacer a alguien esperar, es tirar por la borda su tiempo. Da lo mismo que sea una reunión de negocios que a la puerta de una iglesia. La impuntualidad es un gesto de mala educación. Además, la impuntualidad de unos afecta a los demás. ¿Se imagina en la consulta de un médico, notario, etc. que una persona llega tarde y retrasa el resto de las citas del día?

·      La puntualidad, no solo se da en la llegada, sino en la partida. Cuando tiene un viaje proyectado, es de personas bien educadas partir según los planes establecidos previamente. Una impuntualidad en la hora de salida, puede acarrear problemas importantes, como no llegar a tiempo a tomar un vuelo, no llegar a una reunión o a firmar un importante documento.

·      La puntualidad debe ser rigurosa en todos los actos de su vida diaria. Hay que ser puntuales:

1. A la llegada al Colegio:07.55 horas

2. Cuando acuda a cualquier acto o evento.

3. En reuniones y otros encuentros.

4. En las citas personales.

5. Y en cualquier otro compromiso, de la índole que sea.

 Atencion: Si ve que no puede llegar a tiempo, es correcto avisar, por el medio que sea más rápido, para evitar que otras personas se vean perjudicadas. Recuerde que la impuntualidad es una falta de educación.

Dear Teachers and Students: The first value to be dealt with following our school’s program is that of punctuality.

What does it mean to be punctual?

Objective: To learn to accept that punctuality is a value that is built upon through the effort of consistently being on time at the right places. Time allotted: One counseling session.

·The value of punctuality is an indication of being well-educated

· Being punctual is a virtue that fewer people are practicing these days. It can be said that punctuality has been under estimated. It has been even turned into a myth and there are urban legends that claim that it is real “cool” and elegant to arrive late to certain places. What a pity! Tardiness is being turned into a virtue! What a huge mistake!

· Being punctual is one way of showing our respect to others. If there is anything in the world that is truly valuable it is time, and being consistently punctual contributes to the correct development of daily events. As a popular saying goes: “Wealthy is not he who has a lot of money, but he who has a lot of time”. One can recover money that has been lost; however, once time has been lost, it is irretrievable. Making someone wait for us is actually throwing away valuable time. And this is a fact of life, whether it is a business meeting or a simple church gathering. Being unpunctual is an indication of having bad manners.  Besides, a person’s lack of punctuality is truly something that gets to affect others. Can you imagine arriving late to a doctor’s appointment or a day in court? That would inevitably slow down the process and many other people could be affected by this.

-Being unpunctual is not only about arriving late, but also about departing late.  When a trip has been planned, well-educated people will make it a point to keep to the previously made arrangements. Not departing on time can bring about serious problems, like missing a flight, not attending an important business meeting, or even not getting to sign an important document.

 · One must be rigorously punctual in all aspects of daily life. You should be punctual:

1. On arriving to school at 07.55 hours

2. When attending any gathering or event.

3. To meetings.

4. In keeping personal appointments.

5. And in general, anywhere you go, regardless of the nature of the meeting.

Attention: If you see that you cannot arrive on time, the right thing to do is to send a message through the fastest, most reliable means, so that other people will not be affected by your tardiness.

Always keep in mind that being late shows a lack of good manners.
